***CORONAVIRUS UPDATE***

Hello patients and families:

We are excited to announce that we will be re-opening our South Church Street location in Burlington for urgent care on Monday, May 18, 2020. Our satellite locations will be soon to follow. We cannot wait to see all those beautiful faces again!

As we enter a new era of COVID-19, there are many new changes taking place at Roslyn M. Crisp and Associates Pediatric Dentistry. We wanted to share some of these changes with you now so that you may be prepared for your next visit.

In following new guidelines with social distancing and for the protection of our patients and staff, it is necessary to lighten our schedule significantly during our initial re-opening process. Unfortunately, this means several appointments will need to be re-scheduled to a later date. Patients with urgent dental needs will be prioritized during the first few weeks of our re-opening. We will be calling those with missed appointments over the next few weeks. If your child is experiencing a dental emergency, please call the office. Otherwise, we ask that you allow our staff several weeks to reach everyone. We greatly appreciate your patience and flexibility as we work to accommodate each family.

While we have always followed infection control best practices as recommended by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), you will find that we have added additional infection control and safety measures to the practice. All parents will be asked a series of health screening questions a day or two prior to your appointment and again when you arrive. Upon arrival, a team member will use an infrared thermometer to take the temperature of anyone who will enter the building. It is important to re-schedule any patient who has been symptomatic for a minimum of two weeks after symptoms have resolved. We also ask that you re-schedule your child's appointment if anyone in the home has been ill. We will follow the same protocol with all staff members.

There will be a plexiglass barrier between you and the front office staff. You will find our staff frequently disinfecting commonly touched surfaces in the lobby and treatment areas. Because magazines and toys are difficult to disinfect, they have been removed. We ask that you do not allow your child to occupy any seats other than those assigned to you in the waiting area.

Our staff members will be wearing additional Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including face shields, gowns, bonnets, respirators, and surgical masks. Due to aerosols that are generated during procedures, it is extremely important to limit the number of people present. We are unable to allow any siblings or other family members into our office. School-aged children will be asked to enter the clinical areas without their parent. We can assure you that no child will be left unattended. If you feel that you have an exception and need to be present with your child, please talk to a staff member. Any accompanying parent who enters treatment areas will be required to sanitize their hands and don a face mask. Unfortunately, due to shortages of PPE, we will be unable to provide a face mask/covering for you.

Friends, this is all new to all of us. Although we hope that these extreme measures will be temporary, they are important for your protection and ours. We ask for your continued patience as we adjust to these new recommendations. We are extremely grateful for your trust and loyalty during this time and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we have taken to keep you, your families, and our staff safe during your visit. We look forward to serving you again soon!

Sincerely,

Drs. Crisp, Bivens, and the dental team
